Vassily Ivanchuk became the winner of the Torre Memorial took place in Merida 14th-21st December 2006. He beat Lazaro Bruzon 2.5:1.5 in the final. 13 players qualified from a 6 round swiss and Vassily Ivanchuk, Sergey Tiviakov and Lazaro Bruzon joined them at a knockout stage. |
