Magnus Carlsen
took his first Norwegian title defeating
Simen Agdestein
in play
off after they tied on 7/9 in Norwegian Championship in Moss 8th-15th July 2006.
Time controls of play off was: first two games under classical time: 120 minutes for the first 40
moves, 60 minutes for the next 20 moves and then 30 minutes for the rest of the game.
Rapid games time control was 25 minutes.
