Chess Classics Mainz took place 13th-17th August. There were two 8-games rapid matches(25 min+10 sec.) in the program of the event - Judit Polgar vs. Vishwanathan Anand and Peter Leko vs. Peter Svidler . Besides there were two open rapid tournaments - Chess960 Open(20 min.+10 sec.) and Ordix open(25 min.) and two simul events of Peter Leko and Peter Svidler.
